Configure the BlackBerry MVS
Before you can start using the BlackBerry Mobile Voice System, you must configure a telephony connector, the BlackBerry MVS Server, a class of service, and a template. You must plan the template carefully. The BlackBerry MVS does not apply future template changes to user accounts that already have a template applied to them. The configuration wizard is designed to help you configure these features.
- In the MVS Console, click Start.
- On the Telephony Connector screen, specify the appropriate information, as described in the "Telephony connector settings" topic. Click Next.

On the
Add Voice Mail Connector screen, perform one
of the following actions:
- To integrate the BlackBerry MVS with a solicited voice mail system, select the I want to set up a voice mail connector check box, and specify the appropriate information as described in the “Settings for voice mail connectors” topic. Click Next.
- If your organization has an unsolicited voice mail system, clear the I want to set up a voice mail connector check box. Click Next.
- On the Add MVS Server screen, specify the appropriate information as described in the “BlackBerry MVS Server settings” topic. Click Next.
- On the Add Class Of Service screen, type a name for the class of service and specify the appropriate information as described in the "Settings for classes of service" topic. Perform any of the following actions:
- On the Add Template screen, type a name for the template and specify the appropriate information as described in the "Template settings" topic.
- Click Finish.
