Default line for outgoing calls
|
This setting specifies the line that your organization's
users use for making outgoing
BlackBerry Mobile Voice System calls. The following settings are available.
- BlackBerry MVS
Line: The
BlackBerry MVS uses the
work line to make outgoing calls.
- Mobile Line: The
BlackBerry MVS uses the
mobile line to make outgoing calls.
- Last selected:
The
BlackBerry MVS uses the
line that was used to make the last outgoing call to make the next outgoing
call.

When the BlackBerry MVS Line is unavailable use the Mobile
Line
|
This setting appears when you select BlackBerry MVS Line or
Last Selected as the default line for making outgoing calls. This setting
specifies whether
BlackBerry MVS users can
use the mobile network when the BlackBerry MVS Line is not available. The
following settings are available:
- Always: The
BlackBerry MVS uses the
mobile line to make outgoing calls if the
BlackBerry MVS line is
unavailable.
- Ask: The
BlackBerry MVS prompts
the user to use the mobile line to make outgoing calls if the
BlackBerry MVS line is
unavailable.
- Never: The
BlackBerry MVS does not
use the mobile line to make outgoing calls.

Default network for
BlackBerry MVS calls
|
This setting specifies whether the default
voice network for
BlackBerry MVS is
Wi-Fi or Mobile.
|
|
When
Wi-Fi is
unavailable, use Mobile
|
This setting appears when you select
Wi-Fi as the
default network for work calls. This setting specifies whether
BlackBerry MVS users can use the mobile network when
Wi-Fi is not
available. The following settings are available:
- Yes: When a user
is connected to a
Wi-Fi network,
the
BlackBerry MVS uses
Voice over Wi-Fi
to make and receive work calls; however, the user can use the work number
regardless of
Wi-Fi network
availability. When the user is outside a
Wi-Fi coverage
area, the
BlackBerry MVS uses
Voice over Mobile.
- No: A user must
be connected to a
Wi-Fi network to use the work number.

When Mobile is unavailable, use
Wi-Fi
|
This setting appears when you select Mobile
as the default network for work calls. This setting specifies whether
BlackBerry MVS users can use
Wi-Fi when the
mobile network is not available. The following settings are available:
- Yes: The
BlackBerry MVS uses
Voice over Mobile for work calls, even if a user is connected to a
Wi-Fi network. The user can move calls to
Voice over Wi-Fi manually if the user is
connected to a
Wi-Fi network.
- No: The
BlackBerry MVS uses only
Voice over Mobile for work calls. A user cannot use
Voice over Wi-Fi for work calls.

Network Handoff
|
This setting specifies the type of network handoff. There are three settings:
- Automatic handoff with user notification
- Automatic handoff with user prompt
- Automatic handoff is not available
