Managing call direction
To configure the call direction for incoming calls and outgoing calls,
you can specify whether the PBX or
BlackBerry device initiates
the calls.
To set up PBX-initiated calling, you must configure a value for the
caller ID number that matches the last six digits of the outgoing ANI that you
specify in your organization's telephony environment.
To set up
BlackBerry device–initiated calling, you must
perform the following actions:
- Add a unique DID/DDI number
to each
MVS Session
Manager
- Configure your
organization's call routing patterns so that the PBX can route the
BlackBerry device–initiated calls to the
MVS Session
Manager that is
associated with the DID/DDI number.
