Add a contact
You must invite contacts to use BlackBerry®
Messenger before they are added to your BlackBerry Messenger contact list.
- In BlackBerry Messenger, on the Contact list screen, press the Menu key.
- Click Add a Contact.
- Type part or all of the contact name.
- Click the contact.
- If you have turned on invitation passwords and you want to set a password, type an invitation question and answer. Click OK. Otherwise, click Cancel to continue.
- If you want to add a custom message to your invitation, type a message.
- Click OK.
