Change the view mode

In Adobe Reader, you can view your PDF documents in two different view modes based on your own preferences. Continuous mode is the default mode, which allows your to scroll through multiple pages of a PDF document in one swipe.

Tap anywhere on the screen.
  • To view a PDF document one page at a time, tap Single Page.
  • To view a PDF document in Continuous mode, tap Continuous.
After you finish:
Tip: When you tap an area of the screen, the page number indicator appears in the top left-hand corner.

Navigate through pages of a PDF document

Touch and hold an area of the screen.
  • To go to the next page, swipe up.
  • To go to a previous page, swipe down.
After you finish:
Note: When viewing a document in Single Page view mode, swipe your finger to the left to go to the next page. Swipe your finger to the right to go to a previous page.

View a PDF document in text reflow mode

Text reflow mode makes it easier to read the contents of a PDF document, and is available when viewing a document either one page at a time or continuously. When you switch to text reflow mode, the contents of a PDF document appear in a single column.

  1. Tap The More icon.
  2. Tap The Text Reflow icon.

View a bookmark in a PDF document

If you open a PDF document that contains bookmarks, a bookmark icon will appear at the bottom of your screen. To go to a bookmark in a PDF document:

  1. Tap The Bookmark icon .
  2. Tap the name of the bookmark you want to go to.

Search a PDF document

  1. Tap The Find icon.
  2. Type a word or phrase > Enter.
  3. Tap The Next icon to go to the next instance of the word or phrase in the document.
  4. To exit, tap Done.
