Participate in a BBM group

A social space is created in BBM for each group so that you can chat and share pictures, lists, and calendar appointments with up to 30 of your family, friends, or coworkers at the same time.

You can use BBM Groups to save time on regular tasks and communications. For example, you can replace handwritten grocery lists with a list in a group that everyone in your household can add to and then reuse the list next time. Similarly, you can make decisions and confirm your plans together in the group chat and then create an appointment that everyone in the group can see.

Add pictures, lists, and events

  1. Open a group.
  2. Tap More actions.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Tap Add Picture.
    • Tap Add List.
    • Tap Add Event.
Tip: Share events with your household or coworkers to keep track of appointments that you want everyone to see.

View recent group activity

Do one of the following:
  • To see updates for all of your groups, tap More tabs > Updates.
  • To see updates for a specific group, in the group, tap the group picture or name. Tap Updates.

Comment on a list

  1. In a group, tap a list.
  2. Tap View Comments.
  3. Type your message or select an emoticon.
  4. Press the Send key.
