I can't connect to a home network
Okay, so you are trying to connect to a home network. There are a few common issues that we can check and, hopefully, get you connected!
Tip: When you troubleshoot connection issues with a home network, you often need to consult the information that came with your router. You might also need to consult with your service provider, so it is a good idea to have the router documentation and contact information on hand, before you get started.
We need to make sure that Wi-Fi technology is turned on so that your BlackBerry device can detect Wi-Fi networks.
Now that we have confirmed that Wi-Fi is turned on, let's confirm that your device can detect the network that you want to connect to.
If you cannot see the network in the list, it may be an issue with the signal strength. Try moving closer to the router to get a stronger signal. Sometimes, objects such as concrete walls or microwave ovens can interfere with the signal. Another reason why you might not see the network is if it is a hidden network. For more information, see Is the Wi-Fi network hidden?
If you have confirmed that Wi-Fi is turned on and you still cannot connect to the network, the Wi-Fi network profile might be disabled (blacklisted).
Did this solve your issue?
