Create your own smart tag
Depending on your wireless service provider and your device model, the NFC feature might not be available.
You can create your own smart tags to share with other devices or save to an NFC tag or a QR code.-
In the Smart Tags app, tap
.
- Tap a tag type.
- In the fields that appear on the screen, enter the specified information.
Smart tag types
- Web
- Use to create a smart tag that, when opened, takes you to a webpage.
- Phone
- Use to create a smart tag that, when opened, calls a phone number.
- Use to create a smart tag that, when opened, composes an email. If you want the email to contain a predefined message, fill in the Subject and Message fields when you create the tag. If you want people who use the tag to be able to compose their own messages, leave the Subject and Message fields blank.
- Text Message
- Use to create a smart tag that, when opened, composes a text message. If you want the tag to contain a predefined message, fill in the Message field when you create the tag. If you want people who use the tag to be able to send their own messages, leave the Message field blank.
- Text
- Use to create a smart tag that displays a message.
- Other
- Use to create a smart tag that identifies a resource by using your own URI (Uniform Resource Identifier). If you've created your own application for the BlackBerry device, you can use this tag type to create a smart tag for your app.
