About changing your BlackBerry email address settings

When you set up a BlackBerry email address, you specify a password, a security question, and an answer to the security question. When you change the settings for your BlackBerry email address, before the BlackBerry Internet Service saves the changes to your settings, you must type the current password for your BlackBerry email address. If you cannot remember the current password, you must type the answer to your security question so that the BlackBerry Internet Service can send the password to your BlackBerry smartphone.

If you update the settings for your BlackBerry email address, but do not have a password for your BlackBerry email address, you must type the password for your BlackBerry Internet Service account before the BlackBerry Internet Service saves the changes to your settings. Your BlackBerry Internet Service password is the password you use to log in to your BlackBerry Internet Service account using a browser on a computer.
