The Application Resource Monitor
app monitors apps running in the background and reports on any that are abusing
system resources and causing
issues,
such as sluggish performance or lower than expected battery life. You can have
Application Resource Monitor alert you of any apps that are abusing system resources
or automatically shut down those apps.
-
On the
home screen or in a folder, click the Options icon.
-
Click Device > Application Resource Monitor.
-
Select or clear the Turn on Application
Resource Monitor checkbox , and then customize the application
by doing any of the following:.
- Select or clear the Automatically shutdown
background draining applications checkbox.
- Select or clear the Do not automatically
shut down audio streaming applications.
When abusive behavior is identified you are prompted to immediately shut
down the app or ignore the prompt and allow the app to continue running. If you decide
to ignore the prompt, Application Resource Monitor will not monitor the app
again.
