Restore your BBM contact list using a backup file

Before you begin: To perform this task, you must have created a backup file of your BlackBerry Messenger contact list and saved it to your BlackBerry smartphone or to an inserted media card.
  1. On the contact list screen, press the Image of Menu key key > Options > Restore.
  2. Click one of the following items:
    • Restore using a backup file from device
    • Restore using a backup file from media card
  3. Click a backup file. To locate the latest backup file by viewing the properties of a file, highlight a backup file. Press the Image of Menu key key > Properties.
  4. Click Yes.
You might be automatically reinvited to groups that you previously belonged to when you restore your BBM contact list.
