After you remove a registered email address from BlackBerry Messenger, you can no longer restore your contact list over the wireless network using that email address. If you remove all of the email addresses that are registered from BBM, your contact list will not be backed up automatically until you register an email address with BBM again.

1. On the contact list screen, press the key > Options > Back Up > Back up files remotely.
2. On the Remote Backup screen, highlight an email address.
3. Press the key > Edit Email Status.
4. Press the key > Deactivate Email.
