I cannot scan a barcode

Try performing any of the following actions:

  • If the screen turns off, press the Escape key on the BlackBerry smartphone.
  • If there is a glare on the screen that is displaying the invitation barcode, you might need to move the smartphone away from the object that is causing the glare.
  • Set the smartphone that is displaying the invitation barcode on a flat, level surface. Move the other smartphone about 4 in. (10 cm) above the first smartphone until all four corners of the barcode appear on the screen of the smartphone that is scanning the barcode.
