If you want to stop associating your BlackBerry smartphone or your BlackBerry PlayBook tablet with the BlackBerry Desktop Software that is installed on your computer, you can remove your current settings.

1. On your computer, in the Applications folder, click BlackBerry Desktop Software.
2. On the Device menu, click Forget Device > Forget.

After you finish: If you want to reassociate your smartphone or tablet with the BlackBerry Desktop Software, connect your device to your computer and complete the instructions in the BlackBerry Desktop Software to add a new smartphone or tablet.
