Schedule when your smartphone receives calls on your work number

Depending on the options that your administrator sets, you might not be able to perform this task, or you might be able to schedule calls for specific days of the week. For more information, contact your administrator.

The schedule reflects the time zone of your office. If you are traveling, the schedule might not match the time zone that you are in. To view the schedule with your BlackBerry smartphone time zone as the reference, on the Call Scheduling screen, press the Menu key. Click View Device Time Zone.

  1. From the Home screen, press the Send key.
  2. Press the Menu key.
  3. Click Options.
  4. Click Call Scheduling.
  5. Highlight a day of the week.
  6. Press the Menu key.
    • To schedule when your BlackBerry smartphone receives your work calls for the day that you highlighted, click Edit <Day of the week>.
    • To schedule when your smartphone receives your work calls for all days, click Edit Week.
  7. Perform one of the following actions:
    • To receive your work calls on your smartphone during specific times, change the Allow Calls field to By Time. Specify the times when you want to receive your work calls.
    • To always receive calls your work calls on your smartphone, change the Allow Calls field to Always.
    • To never receive calls on your work number, change the Allow Calls field to Never.
  8. Press the Menu key.
  9. Click Save.

About caller restrictions

With the BlackBerry MVS Client, you can prevent or allow specific callers to reach you on your BlackBerry smartphone when they call your work number.

If you normally want to receive calls from specific callers, you can add those callers to the allowed caller list. If you do not want to receive calls from specific callers, you can add those callers to the blocked caller list. You can add up to 20 callers to each list.

You can apply caller restrictions in the following ways:

  • You can allow all callers to reach you, except for callers who appear in your blocked caller list.
  • You can allow only callers who appear in your allowed caller list to reach you.
  • You can prevent all callers from reaching you.
  • You can prevent callers whose caller ID is unknown from reaching you.
  • You can override caller restrictions and allow all callers to reach you, without removing callers from your blocked caller list.

Restrict calls that your work number receives

Depending on the options that your administrator sets, you might not be able to perform this task. For more information, contact your administrator.
  1. From the Home screen, press the Send key.
  2. Press the Menu key.
  3. Click Options.
  4. Click Caller Restrictions.
    • To receive calls from all contacts except for contacts who appear in your blocked caller list, change the Caller Restriction field to All Callers Except Blocked.
    • To receive calls from contacts in your allowed caller list, change the Caller Restriction field to Allowed Callers Only.
    • To not receive any calls, change the Caller Restriction field to No Callers Allowed.
    • To prevent calls from unknown numbers, change the Allow Calls from Unknown Numbers field to No.
    • To receive calls from all callers, change the Caller Restriction field to All Callers Allowed.
  5. Press the Menu key.
  6. Click Save.
