Known issues

When using BlackBerry Mobile Conferencing on a CDMA smart phone, you might be prompted to dial an extension when using the Join Now option to join a conference call.

This section lists known issues for the BlackBerry Mobile Conferencing application, release 3.0.

If you are using your smartphone in UK English, and you create a calendar invitation that contains a UK toll free bridge number in the Notes area with "UK" mentioned after the bridge number, if you open the calendar invitation and click Edit Conference Details, the UK toll free bridge number might be labeled as Other Toll Free.

Impact: Users might be confused by the incorrect label of a UK toll free bridge number.

Workaround: Open the Calendar invitation, and mention "UK" before the bridge number.

If you create a calendar invitation that has a 10 digit access code containing spaces, or dashes, the meeting might not be discovered automatically.

Impact: Users might not be able to join conference calls using the Join Now option.

Workaround: Delete the spaces and dashes from the access code.

If you are composing an email and you press the Menu key > Schedule Conference, and you save the calendar invitation, the conference call might be scheduled one minute past the current time.

Impact: Start time of a conference call might be a minute past the current time.

Workaround: Open the calendar invitation and update the start time.

If you create a calendar invitation prior to the current time, and you set a meeting reminder for the meeting, if you dismiss the Join Now prompts and restart your smartphone during the scheduled time of the meeting, the Join Now prompts might appear again.

Impact: Users might be presented with multiple Join Now prompts for the same conference call.

Workaround: Join the meeting or dismiss the Join Now prompts, as necessary.

If a calendar invitation contains a meeting ID or password that contains 10 digits, and you open the calendar invitation and click Edit Conference Details, the meeting ID or password might appear as a bridge number instead of appearing as the access code.

Impact: Users might not be able to join conference calls.

Workaround: Open the calendar invitation, click Edit Conference Details, delete the bridge number and correct the access code.

DT1816101

While using BlackBerry Mobile Voice System on a CDMA smartphone, if you click Join Now in a calendar invitation to join a conference call, and after the call connects, if you receive and answer an incoming call on your work number, and the first call is placed on hold, you might be prompted to click Reconnect to reconnect to the first call when the first call has not been disconnected.

Impact: Users might be prompted to reconnect to conference calls from which they have not been disconnected.

Workaround: Click Cancel on the Reconnect prompt that appears.

DT1144056

If you open a sent calendar invitation in the Messages application of your smartphone, click Meeting Request > Open Attachment, an option to edit conference details might be available, and changes made to the conference details might not be updated in the calendar invitation.

Impact: Changes made to conference details might not be updated in the calendar invitation.

Workaround: Edit and save the conference details of the calendar invitation in the Calendar application.
