About sounds for BBM

You can set notification options—such as tone, LED, or vibration—for BlackBerry Messenger in the sounds application by editing a sound profile and customizing each BBM item:
  • The BBM New Message item is for incoming messages.
  • The BBM Groups item is for BBM Groups activities.
  • The BBM Alert item is for availability notifications that you set for a contact.

For more information about changing your ring tones, sounds, and alerts, click the Help icon on the Home screen of your BlackBerry smartphone.
