Turn on or turn off Mobile Hotspot mode

The first time you turn on Mobile Hotspot mode, your smartphone might prompt you to activate your Mobile Hotspot account, and set a password for use with your Mobile Hotspot account.
Before you begin:

To perform this task, you must turn on your BlackBerry smartphone's Mobile Network connection and Wi-Fi connection.

On the Home screen, click the connections area at the top of the screen or click the Manage Connections icon.
  • To turn on Mobile Hotspot mode, select the Mobile Hotspot check box.
  • To turn off Mobile Hotspot mode, clear the Mobile Hotspot check box.
When Mobile Hotspot mode is turned on, the Mobile Hotspot indicator appears in the connections area at the top of the Home screen.
