Controlling your downloaded apps

Your BlackBerry PlayBook tablet includes inherent virus protection and spyware protection that is designed to contain and prevent the spread of viruses and spyware to other apps. With your permission, third-party apps can access information or features on your tablet, such as taking a picture, recording audio, accessing the PIN and serial number of your tablet, or accessing pictures, videos, music, documents, and other transferable files.

The first time you open a third-party app, you might be prompted to set permissions to allow that app access to certain information or features on your tablet. You can change the permissions for a third-party app in the security settings on your tablet.
