Delete the previous version of the BlackBerry Device Software

If you recently updated your BlackBerry® Device Software over the wireless network, the previous version of your software might be temporarily stored on your BlackBerry smartphone. To increase the amount of application storage on your smartphone, you can delete the previous version.

Before you begin: Depending on the options that your wireless service provider or administrator sets, you might not be able to perform this task.
  1. On the Home screen or in a folder, click the Options icon.
  2. Click Device > Software Updates.
  3. Press the Menu key > View Result.
  4. Press the Menu key > Delete Downgrade Data.
