Restore your BBM contact list using a backup file

Before you begin: To perform this task, you must have created a backup file of your BlackBerry® Messenger contact list and saved it to your BlackBerry® smartphone or to an inserted media card.
  1. On the contact list screen, press the Image of Menu key key > Options > Restore > Restore using a backup file from device.
  2. Click a backup file. To locate the latest backup file by viewing the properties of a file, highlight a backup file. Press the Image of Menu key key > Properties.
  3. Click Yes.
You might be automatically reinvited to groups that you previously belonged to when you restore your BBM™ contact list.
