After you remove a registered email address from BlackBerry® Messenger, you can no longer restore your contact list over the wireless network using that email address. If you remove all of the email addresses that are registered from BBM™, your contact list will not be backed up automatically until you register an email address with BBM again.

1. On the contact list screen, press the key > Options > Back Up > Back up files remotely.
2. On the Remote Backup screen, highlight an email address.
3. Press the key > Edit Email Status.
4. Press the key > Deactivate Email.
