My restored contact list does not contain the contacts or groups that I expect
- If you restored your contact list using a backup file, verify that the backup file that you used is the latest version. To view the properties of a file on your BlackBerry® smartphone, press the key > Properties.
- If you restored your contact list using a backup file and your contact list does not contain your groups, you might need to ask someone from the group who has permissions to add members to add you to the group again.
- If you set BlackBerry Messenger to back up your contact list over the wireless network, you might need to associate an email address with your smartphone that you previously registered with BBM™. In some cases, you might need to back up your contact list over the wireless network again before your contact list is recovered.
