Install a root certificate on your computer
You might not be
able to connect to some
Wi-Fi® networks until you
install a root certificate on your
BlackBerry® smartphone.
You can install the root certificate on your computer, and then use
the
BlackBerry®
Desktop Software to install the root certificate on your smartphone. For more
information, contact your administrator.
- Download the root certificate from the certificate authority server to your computer.
- On your computer, right-click the root certificate.
- Click Install certificate > Next > Place all certificates in the following store > Browse > Trusted Root Certification Authorities > OK > Finish.
- In the Security Warning dialog box, click Yes.
If the root
certificate contains multiple certificates, all the certificates are installed
on your computer.
After you finish:
To install the root certificate on your smartphone, use the certificate
synchronization tool of the
BlackBerry Desktop Software to synchronize the root certificate from your smartphone and your
computer.
