Add a contact to the Home screen of your device
When you add a
shortcut icon for a contact to the Home screen of your
BlackBerry® device, you can chat with the contact without
first opening
BlackBerry®
Messenger.

On the Home screen or in the
Instant Messaging folder, click the
BlackBerry Messenger icon.

On the contact list screen, in a contact category, highlight a
contact.

Press the
Menu key.

Click
Show on Home Screen.

Click
OK.
To delete the shortcut icon
from the Home screen, repeat steps 1 to 3. Click
Remove From Home Screen.
