Using the BlackBerry Smartphone Simulator programmatically

The BlackBerry® Smartphone Simulator controller is a command prompt tool that is used to programmatically control the BlackBerry Smartphone Simulator. Use the BlackBerry Smartphone Simulator controller commands to instruct the BlackBerry Smartphone Simulator to perform the following actions:

Action

Description

Issue device commands.

Issue commands manipulating the BlackBerry Smartphone Simulator (for example, close the BlackBerry Smartphone Simulator, hide the BlackBerry Smartphone Simulator window).

Generate external events.

Simulate events generated externally from the BlackBerry device (for example, an incoming phone call, moving between GPS locations).
