Types of push requests
The BlackBerry® Mobile Data System up to 1000 push requests, including both RIM and PAP push requests.
BlackBerry® device applications can send the following types of push requests:

- sending a server-side push submission
- specifying a reliability mode for the push submission
- specifying a deliver-before time stamp for the push submission
- requesting a result notification of the push submission
- specifying a deliver-after time stamp for the push submission

RIM push requests are stored in RAM. Undelivered RIM push requests might be lost if the server restarts.

PAP
|
- sending a server-side push submission
- specifying a reliability mode for the push submission
- specifying a deliver-before time stamp for the push submission
- requesting a result notification of the push submission
- specifying a deliver-after time stamp for the push submission
- cancelling a push request submission
- querying the status of a push request submission
