Adding products with different names to BlackBerry App World

When you add a product to the BlackBerry App World storefront, you specify a name for the product. By default, when a user downloads and installs your product on a BlackBerry device, the installation process uses the product name that you specified, and the vendor name associated with your membership account in the vendor portal. Users can view the product name and vendor name by viewing the details of the applications that are installed on the device.

You have the option of installing the product on devices using a different product name or a different vendor name. For example, you can use that option if your organization acquires a new subdivision, and you want that subdivision to be listed on devices as the vendor for a new product. When you add a product to the vendor portal, you can select the option to install the product using a different product name or vendor name, and you can specify the product name or vendor name that you want BlackBerry App World to use when it installs the product.
