Use the trackball
Use the
BlackBerry Smartphone Simulator
trackball to simulate using the trackball on a
BlackBerry device.
- To navigate between fields, icons, and menu items, roll the trackball.
- To select a field or a menu item, click the trackball.
The BlackBerry Smartphone Simulator for BlackBerry devices that support the trackball assign the BlackBerry Wireless Handheld keyboard and mouse actions to the following BlackBerry Wireless Handheld functionality:

Turn trackball mode on or off.

Press F12.

- On the Edit menu, click Map Middle Mouse Button > Toggle Trackball Mode.
- Click the middle mouse button.

- Click the middle mouse button.

Click the trackball.

Press F9.

Click the left mouse button.

Click the middle mouse button on the trackball.

Roll the trackball.

Click and drag the mouse on the trackball.

Press the Escape button.

Click the right mouse button on the trackball.

Note: Rolling the mouse wheel generates trackwheel rolls not trackball rolls. Although the
BlackBerry Smartphone Simulator
will appear to be receiving trackball rolls, it is actually a trackwheel event.
