Standard messages and nonstandard messages
The BlackBerry® Push Service implements both the messages that are required by the Push Access Protocol standard and some additional messages and elements that provide subscription information. With the nonstandard messages, subscribers to the BlackBerry Push Essentials package can gt the same subscription information that the subscribers of the BlackBerry Push Plus package can.
The nonstandard APIs and messages are available to users of both the BlackBerry Push Essentials package and the BlackBerry Push Plus package.
