Use text messaging

You can use the BlackBerry® Smartphone Simulator to simulate sending an SMS text message to a server side application. Verify that you have installed the BlackBerry® Java® Development Environment.
  1. Click the Call Log icon.
  2. Type the destination phone number for the SMS text message.
  3. Open the menu.
  4. Click SMS <number>.
  5. Type your message.
  6. Open the menu.
  7. Click Send.
