Page navigation

Users can navigate through web pages in the BlackBerry® Browser differently depending on the BlackBerry device's input methods. The BlackBerry Browser also includes shortcut keys for navigation operations.

Input method

The trackwheel is primarily designed to scroll vertically. To scroll horizontally, the BlackBerry device user must press the Alt key while they roll the trackwheel.

When the user rolls the trackwheel, the focus on the page moves from link to link.

To follow a link, the user clicks the trackwheel.

The trackball is designed to provide two-dimensional navigation, similar to desktop browsers. The trackball controls a cursor that appears on the screen.

When the user rolls the cursor over a link, the cursor image changes to indicate a clickable area.

To follow a link, the user clicks the trackball.
