I cannot install the BlackBerry MVS Client on a BlackBerry device

Possible cause

Possible solution

The BlackBerry® device might not have enough application memory.

Verify that the BlackBerry device has enough available application memory to add the BlackBerry MVS Client. If the BlackBerry device does not have enough memory, try deleting old data or messages from the device.

If you tried to install the BlackBerry MVS Client over the wireless network, the application push process might not be complete.

By default, it can take up to 4 hours to send applications to BlackBerry devices. You can change this setting on the BlackBerry® Enterprise Server. For more information about installing applications over the wireless network, visit www.blackberry.com/support to read article KB03748.

If you tried to install the BlackBerry MVS Client over the wireless network, the BlackBerry device might be outside of a wireless coverage area.

On the BlackBerry device, verify that the BlackBerry device is in a wireless coverage area where the user can send and receive data messages and use the phone to make and receive calls.

The BlackBerry device that you tried to install the BlackBerry MVS Client on was released after the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.

Try to update the device.xml file. For more information, visit www.blackberry.com/support to read article KB14348.
