A user does not see the caller name for an incoming call when the user in on an active call

The BlackBerry® device might not be capable of using the phone and sending and receiving data messages simultaneously.

On the BlackBerry device, verify that the BlackBerry device is capable of using the phone and sending and receiving data messages simultaneously (for example, the BlackBerry device displays a 3G wireless coverage indicator or the BlackBerry device is connected to a Wi-Fi® network).

The BlackBerry device might be outside of a wireless coverage area. A user not seeing a caller name for an active call or incoming call might indicate this possible cause.

On the BlackBerry device, verify that the BlackBerry device is in a wireless coverage area where the user can send and receive data messages and can use the phone to make and receive calls. If the caller is a contact from the user's contact list on the BlackBerry, users see the caller name for an incoming call.
