Schedule when a user receives calls to a work phone number

You can schedule when a user receives calls to a work phone number. If a user receives calls at times that are outside of the schedule for the phone, you can configure the BlackBerry® Mobile Voice System to provide callers with touch-tone options, or permit callers from the allowed caller list to reach the user. The BlackBerry MVS forwards all other callers to the user's voice mailbox.

The BlackBerry MVS evaluates the schedule for the work phone number after it evaluates the do not disturb setting for the user account and before the schedules for the phones that are associated with the user account.

  1. In the BlackBerry MVS web UI, on the User menu, click User Profiles.
  2. Click a user account.
  3. On the Do Not Disturb tab, perform one of the following actions:
    • To provide callers with touch-tone options (for example, press 1 to continue with the call, or press 2 to reach the user's voice mailbox), in the Enable Off Hours Warning field, select the Yes option.
    • To permit callers from the allowed caller list to reach the user, and direct all other callers to the user's voice mailbox, in the Enable Off Hours Warning field, select the Yes option. In the Enable Do Not Disturb After Hours field, select the Yes option.
  4. Click Submit.
  5. On the User menu, click Phones.
  6. Click Add Off Hours Warning.
  7. Configure when the user can receive calls to the work phone number. The BlackBerry MVS applies the settings that you specified in step 3 when it receives calls at times that are outside of this schedule.
  8. Click Submit.
The BlackBerry MVS adds a phone to the user account. The phone has the phone number 9999999 and the description Off Hours Intercept.
