Change a user's caller ID
You can change a user's caller ID based on the type of calls that the user makes. For example, you can use a four-digit caller ID for calls to extension numbers, and a 10-digit caller ID for calls to local phone numbers. The BlackBerry® MVS Call Processor changes the caller ID before it sends the call to the BlackBerry Session Manager and applies outgoing translation rules.
- In the BlackBerry® Mobile Voice System web UI, on the User menu, click User Profiles.
- Click a user account.
- On the Outgoing Caller ID (ANI) tab, perform any of the following actions:
- To change the caller ID for calls to extension numbers on the same PBX, in the Extension Call ANI field, type the caller ID.
- To change the caller ID for calls to extension numbers on a different PBX, in the Corporate Network Call ANI field, type the caller ID.
- To change the caller ID for calls to local or long-distance phone numbers, in the Remote Call ANI field, type the caller ID.
- To change the caller ID for calls or transfers to your organization's voice mail system, in the Voice Mail Call ANI field, type the caller ID.
- To change the caller ID for calls to external phone numbers using the mobile access number, in the Outside Call ANI field, type the caller ID.
