A caller cannot leave a voice mail message for a BlackBerry MVS user

Possible cause

Possible solution

The user account might not be configured for voice mail.

In the BlackBerry® Mobile Voice System web UI, on the Voice Mail Options tab for the user account, perform the following actions:

  • Verify that the Is Voice Mail Setup For User setting is set to Yes.
  • Verify that the Voice Mail System setting is configured for the correct voice mail system.

The voice mailbox number that is associated with the user account might not be correct.

In the BlackBerry MVS web UI, on the Voice Mail Options tab for the user account, verify that the voice mailbox number is correct.

Your organization's voice mail system might not support dial strings for voice mail deposit.

Verify that your organization's voice mail system supports dial strings for voice mail deposit.

The number for voice mail deposit might not be correct.

In the BlackBerry MVS web UI, on the Voice Mail Systems screen, verify that the Deposit Number setting is correct.

The dial string settings for voice mail deposit might not be correct.

In the BlackBerry MVS web UI, on the Voice Mail Systems screen, verify that the Deposit Dial String setting is correct.
