Architecture: Remote BlackBerry Monitoring Service
You can install the BlackBerry® Monitoring Service on a computer that is separate from the computer that hosts the BlackBerry® Enterprise Server. If you install the BlackBerry Monitoring Service and BlackBerry Enterprise Server on the same computer, and that computer becomes unavailable, the BlackBerry Monitoring Service might not be able to monitor the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
You can install the BlackBerry Monitoring Service database
on the same computer as the BlackBerry Monitoring Service, on the same database server as the BlackBerry Configuration Database, or on another database server. You can install the BlackBerry Monitoring Service database
on another database server if you do not want the BlackBerry Monitoring Service database
to become unavailable at the same time as the BlackBerry Configuration Database, if your system resources are limited, or if you plan to run reports frequently.
