Assigning an IT policy to a group
After you complete the upgrade process, you can assign an IT policy to a group. When you assign an IT policy to a group, the BlackBerry® Enterprise Server can assign the IT policy to each user account in the group. However, if an IT policy is already assigned to a user account in a group, the BlackBerry Enterprise Server sends the IT policy that is assigned to the user account to the BlackBerry device. To use the IT policy that is assigned to the group, you must remove the IT policy that is assigned to the user account.
Remove an IT policy from a user account
Before you begin: Assign an IT policy to a group that includes the user account.
- In the BlackBerry® Administration Service, on the BlackBerry solution management menu, expand User.
- Click Manage users.
- Search for the user account.
- Click the user account.
- On the Policies tab, click Edit user.
- In the drop-down list, click the blank option (the first entry in the drop-down list) to remove the IT policy.
- Click Save all.
