Exporting and importing IT policies |
The tool supports exporting IT policy information from the BlackBerry Configuration Database of a BlackBerry Domain to the BlackBerry Configuration Database of a different BlackBerry Domain. The source and destination BlackBerry Configuration Database must be associated with the same type of product. For example, you cannot export IT policy information from the BlackBerry Configuration Database of a BlackBerry Enterprise Server and import the IT policy information to the BlackBerry Configuration Database of a BlackBerry Device Service; each product supports a different set of IT policy rules. The tool does not support importing IT policy information to a version of the BlackBerry Device Service, BlackBerry Enterprise Server, or BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express that is earlier than the version you exported the IT policy information from. The tool does not support exporting and importing IT policy information between different platforms of the BlackBerry Enterprise Server. For example, you cannot export IT policy information from the BlackBerry Enterprise Server for Microsoft Exchange and import the IT policy information to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server for IBM Lotus Domino. |
