You must configure a
BlackBerry device
for each
BlackBerry Mobile Voice System user.

Device Name
|
This field specifies a name for the
BlackBerry device.
Type the
extension number of the
BlackBerry MVS user. When you configure the
user in the
MVS
Console, ensure that you use the same extension number.

This field specifies sets of common characteristics for
BlackBerry devices.
Select the device pool that you created for the
BlackBerry MVS (for
example, DP_MVS_<SITEX>).

Calling Search Space
|
This field specifies the calling search space that you
created for calls from
BlackBerry MVS Client instances (for example,
CSS_<SITEX>_MVS_Device).
|
|
|
Media Resource Group List
|
This field specifies a media resource group list with media
termination point resources.
If you select None, the
Cisco Unified
Communications Manager uses the
media resource group list that is defined in the device pool.

|
Owner ID
|
This field specifies the ID number of the
BlackBerry device user.
|
|
|
SIP Profile
|
This field specifies SIP information, such as registration
information, for the
BlackBerry device.
|
Select:
Standard SIP Profile.
|
SUBSCRIBE Calling Search Space
|
This field specifies the calling search space that you
created for calls from
BlackBerry MVS Client instances (for example,
CSS_<SITEX>_MVS_Device).
Setting this calling search space allows the user to move the call from the desk phone to the BlackBerry device.

|
Require DTMF Reception
|
This field specifies that the
BlackBerry device requires
DTMF reception.

This field specifies the directory number of the
BlackBerry device user.
Type the
extension number of the
BlackBerry MVS user. When you configure the
user in the
MVS
Console, ensure that you use the same extension number.

|
This field specifies the partition that contains the
directory number of the
BlackBerry MVS user.
|
|
|
Calling Search Space
|
This field specifies the line level calling search space
and might conflict with or override the device level calling search space.

No Answer Ring Duration (seconds)
|
24 seconds (at a minimum)
This field specifies the length of time that the desk phone will ring before the PBX routes the call to voice mail. Increasing the value improves the probability of call set up success with the BlackBerry MVS Client.

Display (Internal Caller ID)
|
This field specifies an ID number
that displays on the phone of the user that is
receiving a call.
|
|
|
External Phone Number Mask
|
This field specifies a phone number mask if your
organization displays the number of every DID.
|
|
|
Maximum Number of Calls
|
This field specifies the maximum number of simultaneous
calls that a device can support using the directory number. The value that you
type must be three or greater.

Busy Trigger
|
This setting works in conjunction with the Maximum Number
of Calls and Call Forward Busy fields in the
Cisco Unified Communications
Manager. It determines the maximum number of calls
that a device can support. The value that you type must be three or greater.

Configure the PBX to support the move call to desk feature
To support the move call to desk feature, you must configure all appearances of the BlackBerry Mobile Voice System user's directory number on all non-BlackBerry MVS phone devices.
For a list of the devices:
- Go to Route Plan > Directory Number.
- Search for the user's extension.
- Select each device listed in the Associated Devices list, in turn.
- For each, click Edit Line Appearance to configure the settings.

BlackBerry device can have
before the
Cisco Unified
Communications Manager applies a busy treatment (busy signal or
send to Call Forward Busy destination). The minimum value required for the move
call to desk feature is three.

Configure the Cisco Unified Communications
Manager 8.5 to support the move call from desk feature
When you are integrating the BlackBerry Mobile Voice System with the Cisco Unified
Communications Manager 8.5, you can configure a Mobility Softkey for each user so that they can move a call from a desk phone to a device.
- In the Cisco Unified Communications
Manager UI, click Device > Device Settings > Softkey Template > Add New.
- In the Create a softkey template based on drop-down list, click Standard User.
- Click Copy.
- In the Name field, enter Mobility Standard User.
- Click Save.
- Beside the Related Links drop-down list, click Go.
- In the Select a call state to configure list, select On Hook.
- In the Unselected Softkeys list, click Mobility (Mobility) and move it to the Selected Softkeys list.
- Click Save.
- In the Select a call state to configure list, select Connected.
- In the Unselected Softkeys list, click Mobility (Mobility) and move it to the Selected Softkeys list.
- Click Save.
- In the Cisco Unified Communications
Manager UI, click Device > Phone.
- Locate the device of the user that you are configuring the move call from desk feature for. You must perform this procedure for all devices you want the Mobility key configured on, such as a desk phone or Cisco IP Communicator.
- Click on the device of the user that you are configuring the move call from desk feature for.
- In the Softkey Template list, click Mobility Standard User.
- In the Owner User ID list, click the user ID of the user that you are configuring the move call from desk feature for.
- Click Save.
- Click OK.
- Click Apply Config.
- Click OK.
- In the Cisco Unified Communications
Manager UI, click Device > Phone.
- Locate the BlackBerry device for the user that you are configuring the move call from desk feature for.
- In the Owner User ID list, click the user ID of the user that you are configuring the move call from desk feature for.
- Click Save.
- Click Apply Config.
