You can configure
the minimum
Microsoft SQL
Server permissions for the
Windows account that the
BlackBerry Mobile Voice System uses to
run.
- Open the Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
- Expand Microsoft SQL Server > Security > Logins.
- Right-click the Windows account that the BlackBerry MVS uses to run. Click Properties.
- Click User Mapping.
- Click the Map checkbox for the BESMgmt database.
- Change the Database role membership to rim_db_mvs_apps.
- Delete all other database role memberships.
- Click OK.
If you remove the db_owner role, before you upgrade the BlackBerry MVS software, you must add the db_owner role to the Windows account again.
