If you connect the BlackBerry Mobile Voice System directly to a SIP gateway, the recording solution monitors (or spans) the switch port that is connected to the SIP gateway. This spanning mechanism copies all messages and media to the recording solution that is destined to or that originates from the SIP gateway. The recording solution then captures, tags and archives the messages and media appropriately.
