Verify that the PBX routes a DID/DDI number for BlackBerry device–initiated calls

Steps

  1. Log in to the MVS Console as an administrator.
  2. In the left pane, expand MVS Topology.
  3. Click Server View.
  4. Click the BlackBerry MVS Server that you want to test.
  5. Using the nonparticipating desk phone, make a call to the DID/DDI number that appears in the DID/DDI Number field for a Telephony Connector that is associated with the MVS Session Manager.
  6. Using a phone that is not associated with the BlackBerry Mobile Voice System, type any five numbers.

Expected results

  • The caller hears a DTMF tone at the 1st second, 3rd second, and 9th second. The DTMF tone indicates that the PBX is routing the call to the appropriate BlackBerry MVS Server.
  • Verify that the BlackBerry MVS Server hangs up the call.
