Verify that you can call a nonparticipating external local phone from a participating BlackBerry device

Steps

Make a call from the device to the local phone that is an external number.

After you finish: Repeat this test using Voice over Wi-Fi and with no data coverage present.

Expected results

  • You can hear a ring-back tone.
  • The caller ID of the local phone appears on the device.
  • The call connects when the user of the local phone answers.
  • You and the user of the local phone can communicate.
