Allow trusted connections between the BlackBerry Social Networking Application Proxy and BlackBerry MDS Connection Service
To allow trusted HTTPS connections between the BlackBerry Social Networking Application Proxy and Microsoft
SharePoint server, you must use the ImportCert utility to import the certificate for the BlackBerry Social Networking Application Proxy into the certificate store of the BlackBerry MDS Connection Service. The setup application for the BlackBerry Social Networking Application Proxy creates the certificate.
- On the computer that hosts the BlackBerry Social Networking Application Proxy, navigate to <drive>:\Program Files (x86)\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\SNAP\SP\snap_tomcat\conf.
- Copy the snap_<SNAP_server_name>.cer file to a temporary folder on the computer that hosts the BlackBerry MDS Connection Service.
- On the computer that hosts the BlackBerry Social Networking Application Proxy, navigate to <drive>:\Program Files (x86)\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\SNAP\SP\snap_tomcat\tools.
- Copy the ImportCert.exe file to a temporary folder on the computer that hosts the BlackBerry MDS Connection Service.
- On the computer that hosts the BlackBerry MDS Connection Service, open the ImportCert.exe file. If your operating system is Windows Server 2008, run ImportCert.exe as an administrator.
- Click Browse.
- Browse to and select the snap_<SNAP_server_name>.cer file.
- Click Open.
- Click Import.
- Restart the BlackBerry MDS Connection Service using the BlackBerry Administration Service or the Windows Services.
