Allowing trusted connections

If your organization uses HTTPS connections, you must allow trusted connections between the BlackBerry Social Networking Application Proxy and the BlackBerry MDS Connection Service, and between the BlackBerry MDS Connection Service and the Microsoft SharePoint server. If your organization does not use HTTPS connections, you do not need to allow trusted connections.

To allow trusted HTTPS connections, you must add the certificates for the BlackBerry Social Networking Application Proxy and the Microsoft SharePoint server to the certificate store of the BlackBerry MDS Connection Service. The certificates permit the BlackBerry MDS Connection Service to accept HTTPS connections from the BlackBerry Social Networking Application Proxy and Microsoft SharePoint server.

The BlackBerry Social Networking Application Proxy supports both self-signed certificates and signed certificates, so you do not need to add the Microsoft SharePoint certificate to the BlackBerry Social Networking Application Proxy.
