Import IT policy rules for the BlackBerry Enterprise Server

The BlackBerry Enterprise Server administrator uses the BlackBerry Administration Service to create and assign IT policies to BlackBerry devices. An IT policy consists of a set of IT policy rules that you can use to control and change the functionality of devices. If your organization's environment includes BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0 SP1 or 5.0 SP2, you must import and configure new IT policy rules for the BlackBerry Client for Microsoft SharePoint.

You do not need to import the IT policy rules file if your organization's environment uses BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0 SP3 or later. BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5.0 SP3 or later includes the required IT policy rules.

Note: Do not change the IT policy rules file. The BlackBerry Enterprise Server might not function correctly if you change the file.
