BlackBerry MVS Server settings
The
BlackBerry MVS Server communicates with the
BlackBerry Enterprise Server
to send and receive
BlackBerry Mobile Voice System requests to and from
BlackBerry devices. The
BlackBerry MVS Server also communicates with the telephony connector, which provides
connectivity to the PBX or gateway, and with the voice mail connector, which
provides connectivity with your organization's voice mail server.

Instance Name
|
This field specifies the instance name of the
BlackBerry MVS Server.
Note: The instance name must match the name that was specified
for the
BlackBerry MVS Server when it was installed.

IP Address
|
This field specifies the IP address of the computer where
you are installing the
BlackBerry MVS
components.
|
|
FMC Phone
|
|
SIP IP Address
|
This field specifies the IP address that FMC Phone uses to
bind the SIP trunk and SIP line. Generally, it is the IP address of the
computer where you are installing the
BlackBerry MVS Server.
|
|
Line Port
|
This field specifies the UDP port number that FMC Phone uses
for SIP communications that are made on behalf of a specific telephone extension within your organization. It is only required
with some PBX types (for example, Cisco).
The default port number is 5060.
|
|
Trunk Port
|
This field specifies the UDP port number that FMC Phone uses
for general SIP communications.
The default port number is 6060.
|
|
Telephony Connector DID/DDI Number
|
This field specifies a DID/DDI number for the telephony
connector that the
MVS Session
Manager communicates
with. You must add a DID/DDI number when you configure the
BlackBerry MVS for
BlackBerry device–initiated
calling. The DID/DDI number must be an E.164 formatted number and include the
home country code.

Telephony Connector No Data Coverage Number
|
This field specifies a no data coverage number for the telephony
connector that the BlackBerry MVS Client uses to connect to the MVS Session
Manager when the BlackBerry MVS user is in an area with no data coverage.
If you configure a no data coverage number, you must configure a corresponding DID/DDI number on your organization's PBX.

Listen Port
|
This field specifies the port number that the MVS Event
Manager listens on for requests for information from the
MVS
Console. The default port number is 17635.

Enable Event Email Notifications
|
This field specifies that you want to set up email
notifications.
|
|
SMTP Server
|
This field specifies the hostname or IP address of your
organization's SMTP server.
|
|
SMTP Port
|
This field specifies the port number of your organization's
SMTP server.
|
|
"To" Email Address
|
This field specifies the email address that you want event
notifications to be sent to.
|
|
"From" Email Address
|
This field specifies the email address that you want event
notifications to be sent from.
|

This field specifies the user name of your organization's
SMTP server

|
|
Listen Port
|
This field specifies the port number that the MVS BlackBerry
Enterprise Server Connector listens on
for requests to send and receive messages to and from
BlackBerry MVS users. The
default port number is 17633.

This field specifies the
BlackBerry Enterprise Server that you want to
associate with the BlackBerry Enterprise Server Connector.
|

Change the communication password that the BlackBerry MVS
uses

This field specifies that you want to change the
communication password between your organization's
BlackBerry Enterprise Server components and the
BlackBerry MVS.

Listen Port
|
This field specifies the port number that the MVS Data
Manager listens on for requests to retrieve
information from the
BlackBerry Configuration Database. The default port number is 17631.

Witness Server
|

Listen Port
|
This field specifies the port number that the
MVS Witness
Server listens on for health reports from
BlackBerry MVS
components. The default port number is 17634.
