- The account that you use to install the BlackBerry® Social Networking Application Proxy must be a Windows® Domain Admin or Local Admin account.
- The setup application creates a certificate that you can import into the certificate store of the BlackBerry MDS Connection Service to allow trusted HTTPS connections between the BlackBerry Social Networking Application Proxy, BlackBerry MDS Connection Service, and Microsoft® SharePoint® server. To create the certificate, the setup application prompts you for the following information during the installation process: host name (used for the common name, CN, in the certificate), group name (organizational unit, OU), company name (organization, O), city (locale, L), and State/Province (state, ST).
- If you have an earlier version of the BlackBerry Social Networking Application Proxy installed, uninstall it before you try to install the latest version. If you added the certificate for the BlackBerry Social Networking Application Proxy (snap_<SNAP_server_name>.cer) to the certificate store of the BlackBerry MDS Connection Service, use the Java® keytool to remove the certificate. After you install the latest version of the BlackBerry Social Networking Application Proxy, you can add the new certificate to the certificate store to allow trusted HTTPS connections. For more information about the keytool and the commands that you can use to remove certificates, visit www.oracle.com to see Keytool - Key and Certificate Management Tool.
